The rural house of Can Girmas dates from the year 1843 and has been completely renovated in 2018 by the study of es-pai architecture, to turn it into tourist accommodation. The rehabilitation preserved the typological elements of traditional construction while providing light and lighting, using natural materials and respectful of the environment. Providing the spaces of warmth and light without losing the traditional character.
The house is located in the middle of Navata, a village of the Alt Empordà that has about one thousand inhabitants and is just minutes from the capital, Figueres. A privileged place halfway between the beaches and coves of the Costa Brava and the mountains of the Garrotxa. The house is ideal for families who want to spend some days discovering the region and want to enjoy the tranquility of the town.
The rural house of Can Girmas consists of 4 floors: ground floor and 3 floors. On the first floor we find the kitchen-dining room equipped with a sofa, television, equipped kitchen and service. On the first floor there is a double room with bathroom. On the second floor another room with two single beds and bathroom. On the third floor there is a storage room, a lounge and the exit to the roof.
We are very fortunate to be located in a country of contrasts: beach and mountains, tranquility and adventure. We have the Costa Brava very close with wild coves and difficult beaches, but also extensive fine sandy beaches just a few kilometers away. You have the option to visit impressive archaeological sites such as Empúries, marvel at Romanesque constructions of Catalonia as singular as the monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes. You can also enjoy places of great ecological value such as the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà or mountain excursions in the area of Les Salines and climb to the emblematic summit of Mare de Déu del Mont or Puig del Bassegoda. Not forgetting the obligatory visits to the places that a genius such as Salvador Dalí popularized: Figueres, Cadaqués and Púbol.
