Navata is a village that belongs to the Alt Empordà region, which is practically the western limit, located near the Garrotxa lands, and further on, following the Figueres carriageway in Olot, there is only the Municipality of Cabanelles, which is the transition point between the Garrotxa and the Empordà. The land is no longer very flat, but there are large fields of cereals, olive trees and pine groves ... Mount Mont is close by and it is admired from all the municipal term.

The town center is located in the middle of a slightly wavy plain, adjoining the mountains that rise above the north side and give it the appearance of a terrace facing the sea. Its altitude is 145 meters above sea level.

The municipal district faces northern Lladó, Cistella and Vilanant, to the east Avinyonet de Puigventós, Ordis and Pontós, and to the south Vilademuls and the Fluvià river, and to the west with Cabanelles and Lladó.

From Barcelona on the AP 7 motorway, take the exit Figueres Sud, and continue towards Olot along the N-260. After the breakout of Borrassà you will find the village of Navata.
